Piano storage in Huddersfield

Need somewhere safe for your piano while you move house, renovate or simply make some space? We collect it from your home, keep it indoors in our insulated, brick-built warehouse, and deliver it back when you're ready.

Indoors, not in a container

Why where you store a piano matters

A piano is made of wood, felt and metal, and none of those take kindly to damp or to big swings in temperature. That's the main reason we never keep anything — pianos included — in outdoor metal shipping containers, which get very cold in winter, hot in summer, and are prone to condensation.

Your piano is stored inside our insulated, brick-built warehouse in Huddersfield, covered and kept in its own space. Only our team has access to it, and it's watched over by remotely monitored CCTV around the clock.

One team, start to finish

We move it, store it and bring it back

Storing a piano isn't like dropping a few boxes at a self-storage unit — you'd need a van, the right equipment and several strong pairs of hands. With us there's no separate mover to book.

We collect

Our team comes to your home, protects the piano and loads it onto our van.

We store

It's kept covered, indoors, in our secure warehouse for as long as you need — no minimum term.

We deliver

When you're ready, call us and we'll bring it back and put it where you want it.

A few things that help us quote

Tell us whether it's an upright or a grand, and roughly where it is in the house — ground floor or upstairs, and whether there are any steps outside. If it's a grand, its length helps too: measure along the side from the front of the keyboard to the curved end.

You can store your piano on its own, or alongside the rest of your furniture if you're storing a whole household. Storage starts from £1.11 a day and we charge per job rather than per unit, so we'll confirm your exact price once we know what you have.

Insurance: our comprehensive liability cover goes up to £25,000 and can be extended to £50,000 on request. If your piano is especially valuable, mention it when you call.

It's normal for a piano to need tuning after it's been moved. Most owners book their tuner a couple of weeks after it's back home and has settled into the room.

Piano storage questions

Can you store just a piano?

Yes. We store any amount, from a single piano to the contents of a 5-bedroom house. You can store your piano on its own or alongside the rest of your furniture.

Will my piano be stored in a shipping container?

No. Everything we store is kept inside our insulated, brick-built warehouse in Huddersfield, never in outdoor metal shipping containers, which are exposed to extreme cold, heat and condensation.

Do I need to arrange for my piano to be moved into storage?

No. We collect your piano from your home, store it, then deliver it back when you're ready, so there's no separate mover to book.

Is my piano insured while it's in storage?

We provide comprehensive liability cover up to £25,000, extendable to £50,000 on request. Let us know what your piano is worth when you get in touch.

How long can I store my piano for?

There's no minimum term. Store it for a few weeks or several years, and call us when you'd like it delivered back.
